TP-Link XN020-G3v 300Mbps Wireless N GPON HGU with VoIP

The TP-Link XN020-G3v is a high-performance Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) Home Gateway Unit (HGU) designed specifically for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments. It serves as an all-in-one terminal, combining a high-speed fiber modem, a wireless router, and a VoIP gateway into a single, compact device. This layout eliminates the need for multiple devices, reducing clutter and simplifying home networking.

For wireless connectivity, the device delivers up to 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band using IEEE 802.11b/g/n and a 2×2 antenna configuration with two external 5dBi antennas. This makes it suitable for everyday browsing, streaming, smart-home devices, and other typical FTTH applications.

Wired networking includes one Gigabit Ethernet LAN port and one 10/100Mbps LAN port, allowing high-speed wired connectivity for compatible PCs, switches, TVs and other network devices.

For voice services, the XN020-G3v includes one FXS telephone port and supports VoIP standards including SIP, RTP and multiple voice codecs. TP-Link’s datasheet states support for up to 8 VoIP accounts, along with features such as caller ID, call waiting, call holding and call forwarding.

The gateway also provides NAT/SPI firewall protection, MAC/URL filtering, DoS protection, QoS, VLAN, IGMP, port forwarding, IPv4/IPv6, and VPN capabilities. For ISP deployments, OMCI and TR-069 enable remote provisioning and management.
