The TP-Link TD-W9960 is a versatile, all-in-one networking device designed to deliver reliable high-speed internet to homes and small offices. By combining a high-speed VDSL/ADSL modem with a 300Mbps Wi-Fi router, it eliminates the need for separate devices, saving space and reducing cable clutter.
It delivers up to 300Mbps wireless speed over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and uses two fixed 5dBi omnidirectional antennas to provide broad wireless coverage. TP-Link specifies VDSL2 broadband speeds of up to 100Mbps, depending on the DSL line and service conditions.
For wired connectivity, you get three 10/100Mbps LAN ports plus one 10/100Mbps LAN/WAN port, allowing you to connect computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other Ethernet devices. The LAN/WAN port can also be used for internet access from compatible cable or fiber modem connections when operating in wireless-router mode.
Advanced networking features include NAT/SPI firewall protection, DoS protection, parental controls, access control, QoS/bandwidth control, IPv4/IPv6 support, VPN pass-through, port forwarding, DMZ, and UPnP. Setup and network management can be handled through the web interface and the supported TP-Link Tether app.
