The TP-Link Archer C80 is a high-performance AC1900 dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router designed to handle high-traffic online activities seamlessly. Delivering total network speeds up to 1900 Mbps, it combines a 1300 Mbps 5 GHz band for lag-free gaming and 4K streaming with a 600 Mbps 2.4 GHz band for reliable daily tasks like emailing and web browsing. Equipped with 3×3 MU-MIMO technology, the router can transmit and receive data on three streams simultaneously, maximizing efficiency for compatible devices.
For stronger wireless coverage, TP-Link equips the C80 with four fixed high-performance external antennas and Beamforming technology. Beamforming detects connected devices and concentrates wireless signal toward them, helping improve connectivity at greater distances and in challenging areas.
The router also includes Smart Connect, which helps automatically assign devices to the appropriate wireless band, while Airtime Fairness helps prevent older or slower devices from consuming excessive wireless airtime. Depending on the hardware/firmware version, Archer C80 supports OneMesh and/or EasyMesh for expanding coverage with compatible TP-Link networking products.
