The Archer C50 delivers up to 867Mbps on 5GHz and 300Mbps on 2.4GHz, providing up to 1,200Mbps of combined theoretical wireless bandwidth. The faster 5GHz band is well suited to HD streaming, online gaming, and other bandwidth-intensive activities, while 2.4GHz provides compatibility with a wide range of everyday wireless devices.
Four fixed external antennas create a signal-boosting array designed to provide stable connections and broad coverage. Current Archer C50 specifications also include Beamforming and 2×2 MU-MIMO, helping direct wireless performance toward compatible devices and communicate with multiple MU-MIMO clients simultaneously.
For wired networking, the router provides 1 × 10/100Mbps WAN port and 4 × 10/100Mbps LAN ports. It supports Router, Access Point, and Range Extender modes on applicable current versions, giving you flexibility when expanding an existing network.
Network management features include Guest Network, Parental Controls, QoS, SPI Firewall, Access Control, IPv4/IPv6, IPTV optimization, and TP-Link Tether management. Current documentation also lists EasyMesh support in the V6.2 revision.
