The TP-Link Archer AX12 (EU version) is an entry-level, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) router designed to deliver faster wireless speeds, increased capacity, and reduced network congestion for modern smart homes.
It combines Wi-Fi 6 dual-band technology with speeds of up to 1,201Mbps on 5GHz and 300Mbps on 2.4GHz, giving you a combined AX1500 wireless class. Wi-Fi 6 technologies, including OFDMA and MU-MIMO, allow the router to communicate efficiently with multiple compatible devices simultaneously, helping reduce congestion and lag when the network is busy.
For improved coverage, the router features four fixed high-performance external antennas and Beamforming, which focuses the wireless signal toward connected devices. Airtime Fairness further helps improve network efficiency by preventing individual devices from consuming excessive wireless airtime.
Security is strengthened with WPA3-Personal, alongside WPA2 compatibility, SPI firewall protection, access control and guest networks. The router also supports Router and Access Point modes, parental controls, QoS by device, IPv4/IPv6, IPTV features, and VPN server functionality including OpenVPN and PPTP on the documented EU specification.
Setup is straightforward through the TP-Link Tether App, making it easy to configure and manage your network from a compatible smartphone
