Extend Your Ajax Security Coverage

Large properties and buildings can present challenges for wireless security systems.

The AJAX ReX Jeweller helps overcome these challenges by extending communication between compatible Ajax devices and the security hub.

It can be particularly useful in large homes, offices, warehouses, detached buildings and multi-storey properties.

Up to 1,800m Wireless Range

ReX provides a wireless communication range of up to 1,800 metres in open space. Actual range depends on walls, building materials, interference, and installation conditions.

The extender receives signals from the Ajax hub and forwards them to assigned devices. It also transmits signals from those devices back to the hub.

Secure Jeweller Communication

ReX uses the Jeweller radio protocol for encrypted two-way communication.

The system continuously monitors communication between devices and the hub. Ajax states that alarm signals can be transmitted in approximately 0.3 seconds.

Backup Power for Continued Operation

The ReX is normally powered from an external electrical supply. If mains power is interrupted, its built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 35 hours of backup operation.

This helps maintain communication with assigned Ajax devices during a power outage.

Built-In Tamper Protection

The ReX includes a built-in tamper switch designed to detect attempts to remove the device from its mounting location.

Designed for Indoor Installation

ReX is designed for indoor use and should be installed where the wireless signal between the hub, ReX, and connected devices is suitable.

The SmartBracket mounting panel simplifies installation and allows the installer to check communication quality before permanently fixing the device.
